Filter Designs has designed a 'CleanPulse' range of 'pulse filter' systems for common applications. These standard systems are shown below, but are often modified to suit a particular requirement.

The pulse filters use a jet of compressed air to rapidly decelerate the air around the filter media, which drives off the dust cake. Pulse filters are generally used for continuous operation. For non-continuous operation, please see mechanical shake filters on our dustbits website.

 

Factors which influence the choice of filter include; air volume through the filter, gas temperature, dust loading, dust size, fume characteristics, abrasive properties of the dust, hazardous properties to health, location inside or outside and many more.

CleanPulse 'Bag House' Filters

The CleanPulse tubular bag filter is often used on large heavy duty applications such as cement industry, coal mills, ball mills and kilns, in mineral processing plants and as the photograph on the left shows, in power stations for coal handling.

 

 

CleanPulse CPC Venting Filter - uses pleated elements

 

Smaller cartridge element based filter for standard silo venting applications with free flowing dust or product.

 

 

CleanPulse CPB Venting Filter - uses tubular bags

 

Smaller bag filter for more demanding applications with continous loading and dust which is less easily released from the filter media.

 

 

CleanPulse CPP Venting Filter & Specials - uses rectangular panel elements

 

Specialist filter with panel filters as an option to cartridge filters where dust release is a concern.
